Step into the Unknown

Outside I see nothing
I hear the sounds
but unknown to me
is what I need to do.

One step, two steps, three steps, stop.
Four steps, five steps, six steps, stop.

There is a bit of light somewhere,
shining ever so lightly
opening as I make each step
and awakening my curiosity.

Seven steps, eight steps, nine steps, stop.

My feet are shake-less
my  hands out stretched
my eyes and ears alert
as the light gains presence
and opens to embrace my frame.

Outside I see something
I hear the sounds
that begin to shape my way
and there I am realizing
what I do in this day.
