The last 4 years have been one driven with fear, strife, division and descension. The uncertainty of what will happen next has created an environment resulting in conflicts. The divide sees individuals shifting to the left or to the right. The pull is seeking to tip the balance in the favour of one of the two.
Balance is a necessary element in our lives. It is balance that allows us to stand, walk, talk, see, breathe, and more. It is balance that keeps us in check. When we are out of balance our health, relationships, businesses, communities and lives come into conflict.
The strange thing is, it is an uncomfortable place to be, but we often seem to be comfortable with it. Why is that? That question I am continually seeking to answer. On that journey, I started with this statement – How Not to be Right when you seem to be Left behind.
Ask Questions. Asking questions is an art. The art use to be left up to lawyers, investigators, doctors and journalist. However, the question is, are our questions seeking information or are they seeking to state a point? What is the intent of the questions we ask? Getting to the answer is paramount that we answer this one question, Why am I asking that question?
Seek to Understand. What is more important that gaining an understanding on how something works, who someone is or why did they do what they did. The determination to seek to understand takes us to another level of clarity that helps in decisions and driving discussions.
Knock on Doors. Many will resist, and refuse but keep knocking on doors to find the answers. There is always someone with a story and that story just might make a difference in the world you now live in.
We can remain in a world that we believe is hostile, unfriendly and the worst. Or you can believe in a world that is learning, striving to be the better of ourselves and giving to others. We all need each other. Finding the commonality between us all is necessary for us to survive. Asking, Seeking and Knocking will bring us forward in an attitude of learning, yearning and committing to making a difference. All this will mean there will be conflicts. Conflicts are part of our daily lives. However, conflicts do not define the world we live in. Get back in balance while using the conflict to keep standing.

I like the strategies: Ask, Seek, Knock!
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Matthew 7:7-8
