Demonize or Humanize
choose your words
it might just be
you in that world
the circumstances
may be out of our scope
but the words we live in
does not have to be untold.

Speak into every day
that which you hope to achieve
for often the words that are said
are only to deceive
the situation you are in
does not need to define
so while you are walking through
fail not to run or hide.

You just might be demonized
and called names unknown
but remember the truth that lives inside
is your words to change your world.

Motivation for this Poem
The greatest injustice is what we tell each other. Our words have the ability to transform lives. We are often pondering how we can make a difference. In an effort to make a difference, I was searching in the traditional spaces. Then I realize that the answer was right in front of me. It starts with a word. We can demonize an individual or we can humanize them. Choosing my words careful is vital to making that difference for every interaction. Start with a Word, make a difference in the World.
