The silence screams
The words but only bounce back
Unable to reach
The target to speak.
The silence beacon
While words echo
Yet spanning its space
Frustration laced through its phase.
If only I could catch those words
And thoughts that are there
And place them on a train
That slowly brings them
To release the steam
That has built up inside
In a stream of life giving
Words that no longer
Go silent but speak with life.

Motivation behind the Poem
Have you ever been in a place where you have something to say but because of being put down so many times, you can’t see the value in expressing yourself? Rather you remain silent as the words of self doubt, and sometimes bitterness festers inside? Drowning the truth that seeks to come out to transport you on a new and rewarding path. The Silence that Scream is for those silenced voices that are beckoning to speak. Finding your voice is in the screams. Let that drive you forward rather that draw you backwards. The Silence that Screamed Inside is part of the Speak Life Series. A production of Released Expressions.
