Thank You

There are some days when
All the words I can say
Are “Thank You”
As tears break-free
From the well of joy
And a flood of peace
Fill the aura of my being
I simply say “Thank You”.
As my steps are interrupted
And all I am able to move are
My hands extended in gratitude
And my voice shouts “Thank You”
To the realization of all that You are
And all that You give to an undeserving
Reckless being as I You see pass
The flesh that fights and resist
To the call and the knock
Yet You persist in a small voice
And remind me of all
You bless and give rest
And so all the words
I am able to say is
“Thank You”.
